Terms of Use

1. Who these terms are with

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and A1 Study, which operates the service in Ireland. In these terms, “A1 Study”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to A1 Study.

2. Using A1 Study

You may use A1 Study for personal, non-commercial study and revision. You must provide accurate account information, keep your login secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

If you are under the age at which you can enter a contract on your own, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you and authorise any purchase. This does not create a separate age gate for free educational use.

3. Educational service

A1 Study provides revision and study tools. It does not provide official examination advice and cannot guarantee a particular grade, result or admission outcome. You remain responsible for checking current curriculum specifications, examination instructions, dates and official materials.

A1 Study is not affiliated with or endorsed by the State Examinations Commission or the Department of Education.

4. Accounts

You may be able to sign in using email, Apple or Google. One person should not misuse another person's account or attempt to bypass access controls. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security.

You may request account deletion at any time by following the account-deletion process.

5. Subscriptions and payment

• The plan, billing period, price, currency and any trial are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm payment.
• Mobile subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and managed for A1 Study through RevenueCat.
• A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through the store before the next renewal.
• Cancellation stops future renewal. Access normally continues until the end of the current paid period, subject to the store's rules.
• Refunds, payment methods and billing disputes are handled under the applicable store rules and mandatory consumer law.
• Deleting your A1 Study account does not cancel a store subscription; you must cancel it separately through Apple or Google.

If a price changes, the store will provide any notice or consent process required by its rules and applicable law.

6. Licence and intellectual property

A1 Study and its content, design, software, branding and original materials are protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the service for study while you comply with these terms.

You may not copy, scrape, republish, sell, reverse engineer, distribute or commercially exploit the service or content except where law expressly permits it.

7. Acceptable use

You must not interfere with the service, probe or bypass security, use automated systems to extract content, upload malicious material, impersonate another person, or use A1 Study in a way that violates law or another person's rights.

8. App stores and third-party services

Your use of Apple, Google, Supabase and other third-party services is also subject to their terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for providing A1 Study support.

For an iOS download, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies except where a valid custom licence is presented by A1 Study. Google Play's applicable terms also govern Android downloads and billing.

9. Availability and changes

We may update, improve, suspend or discontinue parts of A1 Study. We will use reasonable care and provide notice where a change materially affects a paid service and notice is required. We do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address a serious breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

11. Liability and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory Irish and EU consumer rights, or liability that cannot legally be limited. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, were caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or arise from using the service contrary to these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Irish law. If you are a consumer, this does not remove mandatory protections available under the law of the country where you live or your right to bring a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way.
